On 2 June 2026, the Data, Artificial Intelligence & Transformation (DAT) laboratory was established at the National Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology (NICC). I lead the laboratory. Its ambition is to strengthen the way the institution organises, preserves and makes effective use of its data, information and knowledge.
The laboratory brings together data governance, information and knowledge management, data science and artificial intelligence with support for organisational transformation. It aims to strengthen NICC’s human capabilities by supporting scientific activities, facilitating the teams’ day-to-day work and informing decision-making.
