The KG4J (Knowledge Graphs for Justice) project was officially submitted on June 3, 2025, in response to the P4Science call from the federal science policy (BELSPO).
It concretely starts this March 2026 for a duration of 4 years.
The project essentially aims to increase the data analysis capacity of the NICC through systems exploiting knowledge graphs and artificial intelligence and respecting certain principles of good data governance.
The project involves an international consortium bringing together:
- The Computer Science Department of the University of Mons (UMONS);
- The Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering of Polytechnique Montréal;
- The Computer Science Department of KU Leuven;
- The Linguistics Department of Indiana University Bloomington;
- The Louvain Research Institute in Management and Organizations (LouRIM) at UCLouvain;
- The Digital Transformation Office (DTO) of the FPS Justice.
